Empowering Movement Through Water: Everyone Can Swim | Freedom, Balance, and Joy in Water

At Aquanat, we believe in the transformative power of water. 🌊 Water can support, teach, and change lives.


The Halliwick Concept was developed by James McMillan. This approach teaches balance, breath control, and independence in the water. It creates confidence and joy for people of all abilities.


In partnership with the Australian Institute of Aquatic Bodywork (AIAB), we offer the Halliwick Foundation Course. This course allows participants to explore the principles that shape our swimming and aquatic therapy philosophy at Aquanat.


Over four days, participants will engage in theory and hands-on practice. They will gain the knowledge and skills needed to integrate Halliwick methods into clinical, therapeutic, and inclusive aquatic programs.

  • The Halliwick 10-Point Programme

  • Effects of water: hydrostatics, hydrodynamics, and body dynamics

  • Breath control, communication, and sensory integration

  • Games, grouping, and creative teaching strategies

  • Assessment, recording, and badge testing

About the Trainer


Fezia Tyebally is an IHA-accredited Halliwick Lecturer. She is also a member of the Education & Research Committee of the International Halliwick Association (IHA).


Fezia is a passionate aquatic therapist and educator. Her work spans Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, India, China, and Australia. She has presented internationally on Sensory Integration and Speech Development in the Halliwick Concept. With decades of experience in aquatic rehabilitation and professional training, she brings a wealth of knowledge to the course.
