About Our Swim School
Our Story
At Aquanat Swim School, water is more than just a place to learn swimming — it’s where our family has always found peace, freedom, and joy.
As a family-run swim school in Perth, we bring that passion and care into everything we do.
Founded by Anat Juran, Aquanat grew from her lifelong love of water and her unique path as both a competitive swimming coach and a therapist working in warm water. Over the years, Anat realised that swimming lessons could be so much more than technique and strokes — they could nurture confidence, foster resilience, and create meaningful bonds between parents, children, and the water itself.
Her daughter Adaya joined the journey, carrying forward the same values she grew up with. For Adaya, water has always been a place of imagination and freedom — a gift passed down by her mum: "Water, for me, is a place of peace, balance, wellness — it’s where I feel most alive and calm. Thanks to my mum sharing her passion and knowledge with me, water has always been a place of joy, fun, and imagination. Through Aquanat, I’m proud that we help others experience this magic too.”
Our family’s story doesn’t end there. Sharon, Anat’s daughter-in-law, is now a dedicated swim teacher at Aquanat. Having guided her own three daughters to become confident, free, and joyful “mermaids” from a young age, Sharon now shares her warmth and experience with other families in the pool.
Behind the scenes, Anat’s son Shaked provides IT and technology support, keeping everything running smoothly.
And none of this would be possible without Anat’s husband Yuval, whose quiet dedication ensures our hydrotherapy pool is always maintained to the highest standards — clean, safe, and silky soft for every swimmer.
Together, we are proud to create a swim school that truly feels like home — a place where families are welcomed, supported, and inspired to discover the lifelong magic of water.

Why is our pool unique?
We carefully created a special and magical space in Alfred Cove, where our clients can let go of everyday stress and focus on learning and wellbeing.
We believe private and specialised pools offer the ideal environment to learn to swim. That’s why we operate in a dedicated, purpose-built hydrotherapy pool, accessible only to our students and families.
Here, you can learn without distraction in a peaceful space, with individualised programs designed just for you.
We pay careful attention to every detail to enhance your experience:
-
Maintaining water temperature at 34–35℃ year-round
-
Ensuring fresh airflow with warm, natural lighting
-
Providing comfortable changing rooms and warm showers
-
Using advanced sanitation and filtration systems for clear, healthy, odourless water that is gentle on the skin, eyes, and nose
-
Creating a family-friendly, spa-like space that instantly calms the body and mind and tells children: this is a place for fun and comfort.
Our Philosophy
We understand that not everyone feels at ease in water straight away. That’s why our approach blends many disciplines — Alexander Technique, Tai Chi, Feldenkrais, Montessori philosophy, Halliwick Method, child development theories, attachment theory, trauma-informed therapeutic approaches, and Aquatic Bodywork & Therapies.
Drawing from these approaches helps us tailor each lesson or therapy session to the needs of every individual. We consider each swimmer’s unique learning style, strengths, and state of being on any given day, helping them find their own enjoyable and sustainable way of moving in the water.
For us, teaching is more than giving instruction — it’s about tuning in to the needs of each person, creating meaningful relationships, and helping every client feel guided and encouraged in their journey.
Lessons are offered for all ages and levels of experience. Whether you’re looking for baby swimming lessons in Perth, toddler and child swimming classes, or aquatic therapy in our specialised and warm hydrotherapy pool, we’ll help you feel safe, confident, and excited about your next experience in the water.
From the very first contact through to each session, you can expect personal, warm, and consistent attention.
